Welcome to Travelers North!

This site aims to provide information and inspiration for anyone planning or dreaming about a trip north of 60.

You’ll find basic destination overviews and hotel, restaurant and activity recommendations collected on the main resource pages – one each for Alaska, the Yukon, North West Territories and Nunavut. I’ll expand these as I go, but for now there’s not much covered beyond the Yukon and parts of Alaska.

On the blog portion of the site, I’ll post a mixture of reviews and recommendations, photos and notes from my own northern travels, links to news and items of interest – anything, really, with a northern connection that catches my attention. I also plan to include book reviews and other armchair-traveler bait; my hope is that the blog will be worth reading even for those travelers without any immediate plans to visit the north.

Who am I? I’m a resident of Whitehorse, Yukon, and a full-time freelance writer and editor. You can learn more about me here, and if you have questions you can reach me at eva[dot]jt[dot]holland[at]gmail[dot]com. You can also follow me on Twitter: @evaholland.

Enjoy the site!
